Do you teach women who have had children? Even ten years after having a baby, many women still suffer from issues from childbirth that have not yet been addressed. Many common exercised and even yoga poses can make pelvic floor issues and diastasis recti worse.
This workshop with Women’s Health Expert, Anne Duch will focus on how to teach postpartum women safely, while helping them in their recovery and building strength. Anne will cover a variety of pelvic and abdominal health concerns and how to teach classes that help, rather than hurt women who are recovering from childbirth. Anne will do a brief review female pelvic anatomy (particularly the musculature) and then discuss exercises to avoid and alternatives that are safe for this population.
This workshop is open to ALL Fitness Instructors, Personal Trainers, Yoga Teachers and Physical Therapists.
