4th Trimester Series
Connect with other Moms + their babies!
This 6 week series brings the tools of mindfulness and yoga to newborn mothers in an accessible and realistic way. Each class includes movement, discussion and mindfulness practices to help moms integrate body, mind and spirit as they navigate being the mother to an infant.

This class is specially designed for moms in the newborn/infant stage. Each week focuses on a specific topic to help moms find balance in their new and/or expanded roles.
Thursdays, January 3rd to February 7th
Thursdays February 21st, 28th, March 7th, March 14th, March 28th and April 4th (No class on March 21st)
Thursdays April 11th, 18th, 25th, May 2nd, 9th and 16th
Working Moms Group
A four-part series specifically designed for moms working outside the home. In her 2018 Book, Lauren Smith Brody coins a woman’s return to work after baby as the ‘5th Trimester’. Join together with other local moms who are juggling babies and boardrooms (or operating rooms, classrooms, court rooms, etc.) for honest discussion and community. Each class will include a brief yoga practice, an opportunity for topic-based, guided discussion and time for reflection.
Moms with babies up to about a year are invited to participate. Limited to 12 participants.

Itty Bitty Yogis
Baby’s first yoga class will introduce poses that will help improve digestion and relieve gas pain, along with tools for tummy time and increasing sleep patterns.
Postnatal Mamas will find balance within their new normal, through a gentle practice to ease tired muscles and rebuild core strength. No Yoga Experience Necessary!
Mama Baby Bootcamp
A fitness class for new moms and babies focusing on rebuilding the pelvic floor, core strength and stabilization. Rebuilding your core from the inside out makes you a strong and healthy mama. Anne’s extensive experience with new moms ensures safety for new moms as they move back into a fitness routine.
Anne’s Class is at Sadhana Yoga in Independence Mall on Mondays at 10:30
Past Classes – Not Currently Running
This slow-flow vinyasa style class is suitable for both seasoned yoginis and those new to yoga. The class allows moms time and space to cultivate an awareness of the strength, power and grace of their pregnant bodies through yoga. In addition to the movements of the yoga practice, class will also incorporate focused work with the breath and sound as tools to use during birth and will offer space for moms to connect with their growing babies.
Moms at all stages can join this walk and workout class and adjust the pace and activity to their own level. Kristen will offer an intense workout that incorporates strength training and targets core stabilization. Bring your stroller and a water bottle.
(in the event of inclement weather the class will move inside)
***Moms that are less than six weeks postpartum are asked to refrain from the workout portion of the class and just participate in the walk.
Join Courtney, expert kids yoga teacher, with a background in behavioural therapy and a master’s in education for this class focused on increasing mindfulness and independence for moms and toddlers. Courtney brings easy practices to the daily tasks of raising a toddler. Moms and toddlers will enjoy movement, discussion, and play in an environment designed to support moms in navigating the sometimes treacherous waters of toddlerhood.
***For moms and toddlers ages 1 to 3. Moms may bring younger siblings.
Bubbles and Sh*t
Sensory play for crawlers and toddlers; Sanity for their mothers.
This class is for moms with crawlers and walkers (or about 7 months to about 3 years). Moms participate in peer guided discussion while engaging with babies through a variety of planned sensory stations. It sounds like a lot – it is, but we know you can multi-task like a badass!
Moms welcome to bring infants along with their toddlers and preschoolers
This fun and upbeat class is open to moms at least six weeks postpartum. Barre allows you to work at your own pace and is suitable for all levels of fitness. Kristen brings knowledge of pelvic and abdominal health to this popular workout, ensuring that it is safe and effective in helping moms heal and build strength after baby. Bring your baby or fly solo.
4th Trimester…. Again
This class is for moms experiencing the 4th Trimester… Again. If you have a second, third, fourth or tenth baby, this is class designed specifically for you. Moms can bring older children to this more boisterous version of 4th Trimester Moms, a class focused on bringing the tools of mindfulness to newborn mothers in an accessible and realistic way. Each class focuses on a discussion topic that is relevant for moms welcoming siblings into the family and closes with some gentle movement that older children will also enjoy.
