An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Monday, repeating until July 24, 2017
Women experiencing infertility are invited to join in this peer facilitated group. This is a free and confidential group.
Led by Kate Harmon
Kate Harmon is currently an attorney by profession. Prior to pursuing a career as an attorney, however, she obtained a Master’s in Social Services and Master’s in Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, focusing on clinical social work and obtaining a certificate in the specialization of Child and Family Well-Being. While pursuing a path in social work, Kate honed her clinical skills as a therapist with Northwestern Human Services in Philadelphia and her advocacy skills as a Child Advocate Social Worker with the Defender Association of Philadelphia.
Kate has struggled with unexplained secondary infertility for a number of years. Along the way, she has experienced numerous losses at various stages of pregnancy. She has found this journey to be a complex experience of profound sadness and grief coupled with bursts of optimism and hope. Most of all, she has found it to be lonely. It is her hope that, through bringing together women with similar experiences, we can feel alone together and perhaps derive some strength and peace from sharing space.
